Silverline Group was established by Charl van Zyl and Jonathan Pepler. The Silverline Group head office is in Cape Town. The construction and erecting side was franchised as well as the real estate agency.

The group offers many support services including ongoing training, exclusive territory rights, group marketing, specialised costing and ordering system and yearly exhibitions and expos. Franchisees receive two-week initial training as well as on-site training with first projects.

About the Franchise

Silverline Group was established by Charl van Zyl and Jonathan Pepler with the head office in Somerset West, Cape Town. It boasts a national footprint of franchisees and successful projects. Silverline Group focuses on high performance alternative building solutions, in particular light frame steel construction and green building options. The group offers many support services, including ongoing training, group marketing, specialised costing and ordering systems. Franchisees receive two weeks’ initial training as well as on-site training with first projects. National contracts are sourced by the head office marketing team and outsourced to franchisees.

Franchisee selection criteria

Each SG franchisee is selected according to strict criteria and has to attend a course covering all the aspects of the business, including orientation, operating manual, LFS construction methodology,
costing modules, quoting modules, contracts and ordering. A franchise training academy is held every quarter where new suppliers are met and potential projects are discussed. 

The meetings are also an opportunity to network and learn from each other. Each franchisee is supported by the SG head office operational team through their first few projects until the franchisee can operate independently.
