Why do so many franchises talk about their values aligning with their franchisees and customers when it’s just a repeatable model that’s proven to be successful? How important can values really be when operating from a manual?

Brand values are a critical element of franchise success.

Brand values are critical to a successful brand, which is why franchisors put a lot of emphasis on picking franchisees who may not have prior experience in running a franchise but are passionate about the brand and its values.

Although a proven concept, franchises still take a lot of work, and as a franchisee, you’d be investing a lot of your time, money and effort into growing the business. Therefore, if you don’t believe in what that brand stands for and aren’t interested in embracing the franchisors and fellow franchisees, it’s going to be hard to stay motivated, dedicated and engaged in the business.
