Tech Ed for Franchisees

US sandwich franchise, Capriotti’s, has introduced iPads into its franchisee training programme.

Tech Ed for Franchisees

Franchisees are provided with a fully loaded iPad to use in training leading up to opening day, as well as to assist in day-to-day operations while they learn the ropes of their new restaurant.

Each iPad will be customised to suit each franchisee, providing the necessary tools they need for success – including digital operations manuals, recipes and the ability to connect with suppliers and access the company’s intranet.

Keeping up with a changing industry

The Capriotti’s franchise has more than 80 restaurants across the US, and the move to introduce iPad training is aimed at better educating and increasing efficiency among franchisees. All iPads become the property of the franchisees and are encouraged to be integrated into business and daily life.

“As the industry is constantly changing, Capriotti’s wants to make sure that the franchisees are being given all the tools they need to succeed in a way that is both practical and exciting,” says CEO of Capriotti’s, Ashley Morris. “Franchising requires an abundance of resources and tools to maximise profitability, so having an iPad with all information in an accessible and easy-to-update format helps to organise and plan all of the details that go into opening and operating a successful franchise.”
