Pizza Landslide

As of March, there were nine Domino’s stores open around the country with more to follow.

Pizza Landslide

Domino’s Pizza opened its doors in South Africa in October 2014 and broke a number of sales records in its first week of trade. The largest of the four opening stores, Rivonia, served more than 3 000 customers over 5 000 pizzas.

The latest introduction to the South African fast food landscape, 50 year old Domino’s Pizza is an American franchise chain with an international footprint in more than 11 000 stores in 70 countries.

Taste Holdings holds the rights as exclusive master franchisee to operate the brand in nine southern African countries, including Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, with Zambia and Malawi to potentially follow.

Taste Holdings is phasing out its Scooters and St Elmo’s brands, converting existing franchisees to Domino’s Pizza stores, effectively creating a platform for 125 outlets.
