Mauritius Welcomes Kauai to it's Shores

Home grown healthy fast casual brand, Kauai, named after a Hawaiian island, has opened up shop in Africa’s own slice of paradise, Mauritius.

With the population becoming increasingly educated and health conscious in line with global trends, it’s an ideal time for healthy food offerings to be accepted by the market.

Opened in Port Louis, co-founder and chief innovations officer, John Berry says of the new store that will seat 120 customers, “It’s important that we get in and entrench ourselves as the health food brand of choice around the world.”

And there’s no harm in their third international store being surrounded by sea views and leveraging the relaxed charm of the Le Caudan Waterfront food court.

The franchise goes to Mauritius franchisee Lawrence Wong who’s company plans to open five stores over the coming years. Kauai also operates in Dubai and Namibia.
