Interactive Pizza

Pizza Hut embraces the tablet and launches its high-tech pizza experience.

Interactive Pizza

As tablet use becomes mainstream and people are used to swipe functionality, Pizza Hut in collaboration with Chaotic Moon Studios has created an interactive table that allows customers to design their perfect pizza — from base size and style, to sauce, toppings and sides.

The chain recently released a concept video with the table in action, showing how toppings can even be sectioned to one half of the pizza, added or removed with ease. The tables can even recognise and connect to a customer’s smartphone, allowing them to pay quickly, using saved credit and debit card details, and collect loyalty points.

Once the dream pizza has been created it’s sent off to the oven and a counter on the table shows how long until it’s ready. To keep you occupied while you wait, you can play games. The table is also capable of providing location-based services like ordering a cab.

Loaded on 3 March, it garnered more than 1,1 million views in nine days with over 4 000 shares.
