KFC, a brand that isn’t well known for its coffee, will be launching an edible coffee cup in the UK with the intention of giving customers something to talk and tweet about.

In conjunction with Seattle’s Best Coffee, the 100% edible cup is made of biscuit with a wafer thin white chocolate lining that acts as a ‘heat resistant’ layer between the coffee and biscuit cup.

It’s hoped that as the chocolate lining slowly melts with the heat of the coffee and the biscuit softens, it will create the perfect post-coffee snack, although the time between serving and scoffing has yet to be established.

But with infamous lawsuits related to coffee spills on customers in the US, it comes as no surprise that the cup is still under development for the UK market and KFC has no plans to make it available to US customers.
