Beauty brand Sorbet opened its first salon in London in July – another feather in the cap for great South African franchise concepts.
“Our entry into the UK market has been a long time coming,” says group CEO Ian Fuhr.
“We understand from our suppliers currently active in the UK, that the beauty market is highly fragmented and the opportunity exists to build a salon brand that offers customers convenience, service excellence and a consistent brand promise.”

Breaking new ground
The first store will be company-owned, and the brand plans to open another two company-owned salons in the next year. Only then will the business model be assessed for franchising options.
