About the Franchise

In December 1997, Europa Food Emporium was opened in Sandton City, and soon became the premier deli/coffee shop in the country. The store specialises in Italian and other continental cuisine. Europa’s business model differs from that of a restaurant, both in terms of the opening hours and menu selection. After the selling of the Brazilian group, the company created the Fego Coffee Shop brand.

Each of the four directors of Antimo Foods brings vital skills and expertise to the business. Salvatore, the Chairman, spearheads the strategic, as well as financial and franchising activities. Franco looks after the store development, shop fitting, equipment and logistics. Gerry and John are responsible for all aspects of food management, including menu design, kitchen, and ingredients.
