ANAT has a long and proud history going back to the mid 1900s, where its founder’s grandfather first started making and selling falafel. A proud tradition of freshness and quality was born and is still present in its outlets today.

Together with ANAT’s appetising and appealing meat rotisseries and its ‘make it your way’ concept, you choose how you want your meal from only the freshest ingredients that are also healthy and wholesome.

Franchisee selection criteria

When selecting a franchisee to become part of the ANAT family, ANAT looks more at the person than at their past achievements. So although having owned a business before or having worked in the food industry would be an advantage, it’s by no means the deciding factor.

ANAT looks for burning desire to succeed, passion for food and people, commitment to delivering excellent quality products and service, an inspired, energetic and strong personality with the ability to manage and motivate others.

Franchisor support

Right from the beginning, ANAT will be at your side. Selecting a site is of the utmost importance and until it is completely sure, it will not move ahead. Once a site is selected, ANAT takes care of all the design work, building work, sourcing and fitting of all equipment – a complete turnkey project.

ANAT provides complete training for you and your staff on all things related to the complete operational requirements of running an ANAT outlet. Once you are up and running, ANAT will provide daily operational, product, financial and marketing support.

Your investment

Approval of a franchisee happens by way of an interview to ensure that both parties are happy. Approval of a site has no time-frame as it is impossible to estimate when a good site of the correct size (40m2 to 60m2) will become available, but ANAT does try to get this phase done as speedily as possible.

Training and store set-up takes between one and two months, depending on how quickly you understand the processes. Included in the set-up cost is a launch marketing campaign to ensure that break-even point is reached within the first three months.

Application process

  • Go onto ANAT’s website, under franchising, at the bottom of the page you will find information and application documents
  • Send the application with supporting documents to the email address provided
  • If the application is approved, you will be contacted
  • A R2 000 deposit is required to cover initial costs
  • A full application needs to be completed
  • An interview will be set up – If successful, an approval letter will be issued
  • An outlet will be sought and secured
  • Signing of franchise and lease agreements, and full payment madeTraining, building and opening.
